Divided amidst different worlds..
Here I am writing my first blogpost after months of thinking caz frankly speaking, am yet to understand the concept of blogging and putting your perspectives open to everyone to be challenged!
Took me quite a while to have the shift in thinking from 'writing for others' to 'writing for self'. So now my writing is open for criticism from the readers but this is an earnest attempt to articulate my experiences, experiments and learnings, which can be vaguely random more than often :D
Am reading Paulo Coelho's 'The Witch of Portobello' and am on pg 157.
It said "with every step you take, you arrive". I have spent past few days thinking about some destination I want to reach, some heights I wany to scale, that something which is not herewith me now.
I was just flipping through my diary to rewind what my thought process was, say a year back, I learnt how fascinated I was at the thought of having a 'work life' and being independent, how would it be to stay away from home for first time and explore a new city, and many such things. And here I am, over 9 months onto a job I never thought I would take up, staying with once-strangers roommates. Different world!
I wonder at the incredible ability of mind to project us into different worlds of past and present. Then it requires efforts to be in the present and not divided amidst different worlds..
Let go of the idea that the path will lead you to some Goal. Truth is that with each step you take, you arrive.. :)
I was prompted by Mr. Shyam Purkayastha (who was my technical telecom trainer and now motivator :)) to experiment with blogs; apart from other friends Shubhda, Abhijeet and Alka! :)
